Many people carry things silently. A worry about family, an illness, strain at work, grief that comes and goes, or simply the tiredness of trying to keep going. At St Joseph’s in Oakham, you do not have to carry those things alone. We would be honoured to pray with you, and for you.
If you would like the parish to pray for a particular intention, you can send it to us through the Contact page. You do not need to write much. A name, or a brief line, is enough. God understands what we cannot easily put into words. If you would prefer to speak to the priest, or arrange a quiet conversation, please do get in touch the same way.
If you are returning to the Church after a long time, or you feel you need a fresh start, Confession is a gentle place to begin. You can find times and a simple guide on our Confession page. If you are not sure what to do or say, do not worry. Tell the priest it has been a long time, and we will take it one step at a time.
For Mass times and parish-wide notices, please see Mass times and the Newsletter. If you are trying to rebuild the habit of prayer, even in small ways, you might find Prayer a quiet help.
St Joseph is a patron for ordinary life, for family, for work, and for steady faithfulness. May he watch over Oakham and all who live around Rutland Water.
